Blenheim Markets

Explore Local Markets!

Blenheim has a small but reliable collection of markets spread across the week — from the long-running Saturday morning bootsale at the railway station to the Sunday farmers’ market out at the A&P Showgrounds and a seasonal artisan craft market in the town centre. Between them they cover most bases: fresh local produce, secondhand finds, handmade goods, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere that fits Marlborough’s pace well.

Marlborough Farmers’ Market

The Marlborough Farmers’ Market runs every Sunday morning at the A&P Showgrounds on the corner of Alabama Road and Maxwell Road. It operates rain or shine from 9am to noon. Stalls are run by producers selling direct — fruit and vegetables (including organic), cheese, bread, eggs, olive oil, honey, jams, free-range meat, fish, coffee, and plants. Food trucks are usually on site too. It has become the main Sunday ritual for a good chunk of the local population.

What visitors say

“Really good selection of fresh local produce and friendly stallholders. Great way to spend a Sunday morning in Blenheim.”

Blenheim Rotary Bootsale Market

The Blenheim Rotary Bootsale Market has been running for over 30 years and happens every Saturday morning at the Blenheim Railway Station car park. It opens at 7am and wraps up at noon. Entry is free and it is dog friendly. The mix is broad: fresh fruit and vegetables, plants, clothing, jewellery, crafts, bric-a-brac, tools, books, honey, eggs, preserves, fishing gear, furniture, and more. Live entertainment and food stalls add to the atmosphere.

If you want to sell, no booking is needed — just arrive by 7am, pick a spot, and the market collectors come around for the $5 site fee at around 9am. It is run by the Blenheim Rotary Club as a community fundraiser.

What visitors say

“A classic Kiwi boot sale — you never know what you’ll find. Good fun for an early Saturday morning.”

Marlborough Artisan Craft Market

The Marlborough Artisan Craft Market runs seasonally in the Blenheim CBD, operating Saturdays from around October through to Easter each year. It is held at Market Place on the corner of High Street and Market Street. The market focuses on handmade goods from Marlborough and visiting artisan makers — ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, and similar. Now into its eleventh season, it draws a solid following through the summer months. Check marlboroughartisanmarket.co.nz for current season dates before visiting.
