Mayfield lies north of Blenheim’s central business district in the Marlborough region. The suburb developed as one of the town’s earlier residential areas and remains characterised by established homes and tree-lined streets.
Pollard Park occupies a significant portion of the suburb. This 24.6-hectare park includes wooded areas, Fulton Creek, rose gardens and an inclusive playground, serving as Blenheim’s premier green space.
Te Kahu o Waipuna opened in June 2023. The Warren and Mahoney-designed building houses the Blenheim Library, Marlborough Art Gallery and a café. Mana whenua gifted the name, which means the protective cloak of Waipuna.
