What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from April 2025. ERO found that most students meet or exceed curriculum expectations in reading and a large majority do so in writing and maths, with results even across all groups of learners. It rated teaching highly, found that students with complex needs are well supported and that learners feel a strong sense of belonging, and noted that structured literacy is in place across the school while a structured maths programme is being introduced. Regular attendance is approaching the government target and improving.
The agreed next steps are to make assessment more consistent and make better use of what it shows, keep teaching quality high so progress in reading, writing and maths is sustained, build school-wide practices that support wellbeing and engagement, and lift regular attendance further.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places.
The school encourages families to pre-enrol from age three, and new entrants visit the school in the two weeks before their fifth birthday. Families are asked to contact the office for the enrolment forms and procedure.
